Appreciation is key to a happy life. When we are appreciating we are at a higher level of our true 'self'. Positive thought can take us to a happy place and good feelings instantly. We face many challenges and decisions every day and many times we get a sick feeling from knowing we have to make those choices.

The next time you have a difficult situation with a loved one or a co-worker, spend 5 minutes in appreciation of them. Write down all the good you see in them, the nice things they have done, the positive aspects you see in them, and then you will find that your mood will change toward them. Use this technique any time you feel frustrated or rushed. It will make a world of difference in the way people look at you, the way you react to any given situation, and in your own self confidence. This technique can help you in the board room, with subordinates, and with family. Use it often and with passion. You will be amazed at the success it will bring to you.
