RECIPES FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS
|
February 2007
|
Dear Barb,
Welcome to New England! The cold weather has
finally descended upon us, and boy is it cold!
Unfortunately for a lot of us the change to cold
brings along a change to pain in our muscles and
joints. First we get a chill, then our shoulders
migrate somewhere towards our ears, and our neck
muscles become contracted. The perfect recipe for
a sore neck and shoulders. Our massage therapists
can teach you the signs before they become
symptoms. Just another way that we look at the
whole person, not a just the problem.

A MESSAGE FROM BARB
|
|
Life is wonderful. In each moment we have the
opportunity to appreciate. We have the option to
have gratitude for the people and things in our lives.
Even when things happen that are hurtful, are scary,
or events you just don’t understand, we can find
gratitude.
When life hands you something that stops you in
your tracks, take a moment and think about it. Find
the good in that person or event. Appreciate the
uniqueness and try to find the lesson. Have gratitude
for your every experience.
When you think and act from a place of gratitude, you
are able to use the law of attraction to its fullest
degree. Last Thursday Oprah aired a show
based on the movie "The Secret". She talked
with various people from the movie about the law of
attraction. Every day right here at the center we
use this method of thinking and acting. You can
empower yourself too! Think on a grand scale, don't
just dream it--you should feel it, know it like it has
already happened! Every thought you
have manifests itself and brings you more of the
same. If you are thinking about illness, you will get
more illness. If you are thinking about abundance,
you will receive more abundance. The key is to
always stay positive and feel it with your whole
being. Join us on the last Tuesday of each month for
the Positive Thinkers League. This group will help
you to identify, feel, and achieve your goals. The
power lies within each one of us!

LADIES NIGHT OUT
|
|
This month's Ladies Night Out was a smashing
success! We host each Ladies Night Out on the first
Wednesday of each month. The next one is
scheduled for March 7, 2007 from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
In celebraton of National Nutrition Month we
will be honoring the food that brings us nutrients.
Nutritional does not mean boring or bland. Just think
of the rainbow of colors and the foods that are those
colors. Each color brings with it a specific nutrient.
Antioxidents alone are brought to us through berries,
grapes, red wine, peanuts and more! Join us next
month to celebrate Nutrition in a fun and exciting way!
