Dear ,
It is 'My Mind" that creates 'My Experiences". I am unlimited in my own ability to create the good in my life. I am a believer that I am one that decides if I am rich, if I am beautiful, if I am healthy, or if I am loved. I create my own happiness, I produce my opportunities and I decide what is acceptable and not acceptable in my life. That being said, where do I go from here? My sole purpose going forward in this world is to share with everyone that will listen to this message ‘You too, can create the future you desire'. When I wake in the morning, I create conscience thoughts about how my day will go and what I will accomplish. I decide that it will be a great day and I will see an old friend, I will enjoy my meetings and I will create a new program or I will sign a new contract. I make sure I see great things happening in my day before I even get out of bed. Then as the day progresses I enjoy the surprises as they unfold. An old friend calls I haven't heard from in 6 months and tells me she has a great new contact for me to teach a class. While brainstorming with the staff we create 2 new programs that we will implement right away. Everywhere I turn people appreciate me and offerings of new business are around every corner. Sound unusual? Not for me. Why? Because I am a believer and I practice what I believe. I want to share this message. 'Your mind" has the ability to create 'Your Experiences". What do you want to create? Love, money, health, wisdom or happiness? If you want to discuss it in more detail feel free to stop by The Center, I am always up for a good positive interaction! In the mean time challenge yourself. Take the first step. Make conscience thoughts about what you want for yourself and spend time focusing on them. Start small, see a parking place for yourself at the restaurant or the mall. Please join me at The Center on March 24th at 5:00 for our 'Dinner and a Movie. We will have a pot luck dinner and watch 'What the Bleep do we know!? Afterwards we will discuss, what the bleep do we know anyway!???

Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Lay Insomnia to Rest
animal

An estimated 32 million people suffer from insomnia in the U.S. Insomnia can have a number of causes including stress, depression or anxiety, irregular work schedules, medication side effects, drug or alcohol abuse, chronic pain, hyperthyroidism and arthritis. Oriental medicine and acupuncture, the most well known modality of Oriental medicine, are widely used in the treatment of insomnia and have shown great success treating those who experience insomnia. Insomnia may present itself in different ways. For some, the inability to fall asleep is the most noticeable symptom while others are unable to reach a deep level of sleep. Some frequently wake and others are startled awake by every noise. Chronic insomnia can result in fatigue and lethargy during the day, difficulty concentrating and feeling depressed or irritable. The treatment of insomnia with Oriental medicine involves a thorough evaluation, determination of diagnosis and formulation of a treatment plan that is focused on the etiology of the insomnia. Oriental medicine and acupuncture can be of great assistance in resolving insomnia, but in order to successfully and completely resolve sleep disturbance all of the contributing factors must be addressed. You will have the highest probability of success in normalizing your sleep if you can commit to other healthy lifestyle, dietary, and behavioral changes. Insomnia should not dictate when or for how long you sleep. It can be frustrating and scary when any disease or disorder takes away control. Oriental medicine can lead you to a place of balance and calm, giving you the power to lay insomnia to rest. Jared Saunders-Nutrition Team Leader + Education Coordinator
Jared pic

Our Featured Employee of the Month By Cheri McDonough As early as he can remember, Jared had "an affinity to read about the relationship of food and health" and was "always the one people came to" for such information. After serving in the Air Force, working as an Environmentalist, and being a white water rafting guide in Alaska, he decided to go back to school for his passion. He chose the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in Manhattan, NY as it has a reputation as "the most cutting edge school in the country for nutrition." There he acquired "knowledge in 125 nutritional theories", with training from Barry Sears of the Zone Diet and Andrew Weil, a regular on Oprah, among others, for a diverse background to be able to integrate complementing modalities specific to individual's needs and lifestyles. Jared emphasizes that there is a "strong connection between what people eat and one's health" and further appreciates working at The HSC Center where he uses his knowledge to help customers "where it makes such a difference in people's lives." His primary responsibilities are providing nutritional counseling at 30 minutes or an hour, one time appointments or ongoing depending on needs. Although many customers come in due to digestive issues, weight and associated problems or auto-immune diseases, any person who could benefit from a change in diet or lifestyle is encouraged to schedule an appointment. Health food store tours and recommendations on dietary supplements are also offered. Educational workshops are also part of Jared's job duties as he coordinates recommendations that appropriately fit in with the vision of The Center ("... to educate and teach preventative self care to customers, businesses, and the community"). Jared can be reached via email at Jareds@thehsccenter. Jared's personal goal is to see customers fill his schedule with appointments for nutritional counseling. He proudly recognizes "The more people I can reach, the more I can help. I like that." Jared is regularly available weekdays from 1:00 to 7:00 P.M. Special for the month of March, 10% off promotion for first time appointments with Jared with use of attached coupon.
