Greetings!

Will it build good will and better friendships? Great Question. I envision a world where everyone works toward building a better world. I see people becoming healthy and productive. There is a synergy and each person compliments the next. It is a place of caring and support. This place is full of people like you and me. Doing the right thing comes easy and building better friendships is a given. As you know, we are celebrating our first anniversary. It has been a great year of enlightenment for the staff, the customers, my family and friends, and myself. We have already changed lives. People are coming in with digestive issues, cancer, Fibromylagia, migraines, heart disease, unexplainable inflammation, and aches and pains of all types. We have helped many people with education. We are giving them tools to take care of themselves and then teaching them how to use the tools. We are making a difference. As a Rotarian I have always had strong feelings about the Four-Way test. I use it in my daily work and I recite it when I have issues that need to be addressed. Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build good will and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? As a company we build good will and better friendships by providing a natural approach to optimal health and wellness. What a great world we are creating! Don’t be afraid to take a first step with us into better health and better friendships. By Barb Tremlett

Do you wan't to look better naked?
fat bastard

Hello, I am Jared Saunders and I work at The Center as a Holistic Health Counselor and Integrative Diets Specialist. I also put these newsletters together for your enjoyment. I will continue to keep you posted on the latest advances in nutrition and supplementation as it is forever changing. I would like to encourage anyone with weight or image issues to set up an appointment to meet with me. I have studied over 125 Nutritional Theories and I know that people are different and not every diet will work for everyone. I will usually encourage you to make simple changes in diet and lifestyle that can make a huge difference in your health. I do not reccomend rigid programs that will have you counting calories, carbs or points nor do I have you eliminate your favorite foods. I would rather you add new foods that will help you control your cravings and increase your overall nutrition. I also offer to do healthy shopping trips, and health food store tours. If you wan't to make more drastic changes I will help you get rid of the junk food at your house and replace it with healthy whole foods. I will also give you reading materials, cookbooks, food samples and the support you need via email, phone call or appointment. Contact me at The Center if you would like to set up an appointment, I look forward to hearing from you, and remember that your path to optimal health begins with your next meal.

What are you doing this summer?

Working, hanging around, yard work? Get out of your routine and plan an adventure. When is the last time you did something really fun? Has it been a while? There are plenty of fun things to do this summer that will make you feel good. You can plan to go camping, whitewater rafting (my personal favorite), hiking, even skydiving, or if you are not into risking your life you can go canoeing, kayaking, swimming or just take a walk in the park. If you have kids, you can go to Canobie Lake Park or just to the lake. Away from the TV and Playstation. The Fourth of July is this weekend so if you have not made plans yet now is the time! Have some fun for the kid inside of all of you. By Jared Saunders

Friends, Relationships and Support
PEDRO

Ok, so Life can be like a rollercoaster of ups and downs, bumps, and twists it can even make you a little dizzy sometimes. That is why it so important to have good friends and healthy relationships. When something happens in our lives your friends are there to pick you up when you are down, lend a shoulder to cry on, make you laugh, have your back and are there if you just need someone to talk to. They are the people who we tell our secrets and share our hopes and dreams with. They are the most important network of people in our lives along with our families they are people we care about and the people we love. If you are having troubles or trying to make positive changes in your life talk to them and if you don't have many people like this in your life get out there and meet some! By Jared Saunders

Glyconutrients cannot turn you into a dolphin but they can change your life!
dolphindad

Have your heard the new buzz about glyconutrients? We’re talking about SUGARS THAT HEAL. Some people are referring to them as Miracle Sugars. Ten years ago, science first discovered and that there were 8 specific monosaccharides or sugars that our cells needed for the proper structure of glycoforms and for proper cell to cell communication. With these specific eight sugars, all our cells are able to communicate with each other, thus supporting the body’s immune system and its way of repairing and healing itself. The body is the healer. It’s not the drugs that are often prescribed for symptoms. Our bodies were designed to operate on “food” as its fuel, but the food must contain the right and necessary nutrients to sustain the body’s health. WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER GLYCONUTRIENT SUPPLEMENTATION; • Do you get colds or sore throats easily and often? Do they seem to linger longer that you like? • Do you / your family members fight chronic infections (ear, lungs, sinus, yeast)? • Is there Cancer in your family history or is cancer happening currently? • Are you / your family members struggling with any chronic health challenge that is not resolving through any other means? This includes auto—immune disorders, depression, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, allergies, asthma, etc. • With all the “super bugs” and killer flus you hear about in the news, are you concerned about making your family more disease-resistant? • Are you just not feeling healthy, or at your best? Do you wish you had more energy? Do you feel like you are too young to be feeling so bad? • Do you/your family members have “learning” or “attention” issues and you are looking for a natural solution to improve in this area? The Holistic Self Care Center now sells a full line of Glyconutrient Supplements. We also have workshops on this topic regularly. If you would like to attend a lecture or meet with a nutritional counselor that is certified in this field, please contact the Center. By Diane Duffett.

Men's health (Keep it up!)
leaning tower

As men age we can run into issues that may impede our sexual performance. Poor diet, obesity, heart trouble, prostate problems and hormones can all affect how you function during sexual activity. There are new medications on the market that can help but have some pretty crazy side effects. I will run down a list of foods and supplements that may help you to optimize your sex life. If you eat a diet full of processed foods (boxed foods, canned foods, frozen etc...) you are a typical American who is bound to have some of these issues at some point in your life. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables, beans, seeds and nuts, wild fish, and whole grains is a sure way to improve your game! Avoiding dairy and too much meat as well as white flour, sugar and artificial colors and preservatives will also be hugely beneficial. Fruits are a good source of antioxidants which are important to our overall health. Pumpkin seeds, walnuts, and almonds are important for men's health. As for supplements: Maca is a natural Aphrodisiac that helps balance hormones. Zinc Picolinate as recommended on the bottle is very beneficial for men. Selenium and lycopene are a must for prostate health as well as a supplement called Zyflamend by New Chapter. Eleuthro or Siberian Ginseng and Panax Ginseng have long been used as Aphrodisiacs and for energy. Yohimbe is also used primarily for sexual performance. OPC's are also necessary for optimum blood flow. All of these should be taken for 3-5 weeks before you will experience full benefits. Consult with your doctor if you currently take medication before you use these products. If you have any questions or would like to book an appointment please call 603-883-1490 By:Jared Saunders
