| A NOTE FROM BARB |

In my life anything is possible. I believe I am
successful so I am successful. I imagine what I want
and focus on it. I create my own reality. I have great
expectations therefore I have great results. I am a
person that truly believes that anything is possible. I
can do, be, or have anything I set my mind to.
I wake up grateful for what I have, everything, every
little thing. Call it a prayer, call it a thought, or call it
intentions. The name makes no difference. It is
gratitude. I am purely grateful for everything in my
life; family, home, clothes, car, finances, etc.
I hope for this season that is upon us that you can
see the many things in your life to be grateful for and
that you can feel the possibilities that surround
you.
With my deepest Sincerity,
Barb

| ARE YOU READY FOR WINTER? |
 |
|
The Farmers’ Almanac has been providing long-range
weather predictions every year since 1818. They
base their forecasts on a top secret mathematical
and astronomical formula. Many of those who follow
the predictions say that they are 80 to 85%
accurate. So here is the prediction for this up
coming winter:
Frigid temperatures as much as 20
degrees
below seasonal norms and nearly 40 degrees colder
than last winter, with snow and lots of it for parts of
New England. Brrrrrrrr!
Stay Warm and Healthy in the Snow and
Cold.
Here are some great winter weather tips for the up
coming cold season:
1.Wear a Hat (a large percentage of body
heat loss
occurs in the head region, so it’s crucial to keep your
head covered), and Dress in Layers (make
your first
layer a shirt or long underwear made of synthetic
microfibers to keep away the sweat which would
make you colder (avoid cotton, which gets wet and
stays wet), then top your first layer with a fleece
and
then a windproof jacket).
2. Wear Rubber-Soled Boots with good
traction and
make sure that they aren’t to tight (the tighter they
are it won’t allow enough blood to circulate to your
feet and they get even colder), making sure to walk
slowly and not carry too many packages. It's always
a good idea to give
yourself extra travel time to get wherever your going
whether on foot or by car.
3. Apply a Thin Layer of Vaseline on exposed
skin
(cheeks, nose, chin, ears, and neck) this will prevent
getting windburn.
4. Smear on some sunscreen and lip balm if
your out
in the snow on a sunny day and slip on a pair of
sunglasses or goggles to protect your eyes from
the
snow’s glare (a sunny day in the winter is often
brighter and more dangerous to your eyes than the
same sun in the summer).
5. Look for patches of white or pale gray,
waxy-
textured skin; these would be signs of frostbite. Go
indoors and get immediate medical attention.
